The Rotary Club of West Wichita annually awards scholarships to recent graduates of high schools in the club’s service areas. These high schools include Andale, Bishop Carroll, Cheney, Clearwater, Garden Plain, Goddard, Maize, and Wichita Northwest. As part of the selection process, each student must submit an essay of approximately 200 words on the topic of the Rotary Four-Way Test. The test, which members of the West Wichita rotary Club recite at each meeting, includes four questions:
In addition to the essay, students must meet the following qualifications which include: attending a Kansas college or university; exhibiting involvement in school, church, and community activities; achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or better, and obtaining a letter of recommendation from a teacher or administrator about the student's work and study habits. |
